What happens when you combine an iconic former Whataburger A-frame with one of Waco's most beloved coffee shops? You create a space that honors the past while becoming a new destination for people to gather.

CRECON had the privilege of transforming the 1,700-square-foot Common Grounds–Franklin location into a one-of-a-kind coffee shop that celebrates the building's history while embracing a fresh new vision. Throughout the remodel, memorable details emerged—from uncovering the original travertine floors to constructing the signature wraparound suspended menu board that has become a defining feature of the space.

The result is an award-winning design that is as memorable as the cowboy coffee served every day through the drive-thru and dine-in experience. CRECON is proud to have played a role in preserving a piece of Waco history while helping a local favorite continue to grow.
